It’s not as nice as the other facility, but it’s an OK room. They have more patients all over this facility, so they need more staff for the people they have in there. We asked for the doctor that’s in that facility to call us back numerous times. We still have not received a call back. We asked the nurse practitioner, and she finally did return a call.

They almost killed my father and I’m convinced if we had not removed him from here he would no longer be with us. We left there and took our loved one to the ER where he was placed in the ICU for several days. He could not feed himself and they literally just put his food and liquids down and walked out.
My grandmother was a resident at the Magnolia Nursing Home in Jackson, MS. Our family decided to place her their after she suffered mini stroke while living independently in her home. During her stay there she was able to interact with other residents in the facility. Some of the the nurses where not as friendly with the patients and not with the families. On my first trip their, I was not help to find my grandmothers room. I had to look up and down the hall because I didn’t see staff nor did they ask me where I wanted to visit. The appearance of the facility reminded me of more of a hospital than a residence home.

My mom is a resident of Willow Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. I don’t know how many beds it has, but it is male and female. They have one home that is just rehabilitation. When I go in, I have to go around to get to where my mom is at. It’s not really an issue one way or the other. Because she’s in rehab, it’s a single.
Several of the residents brought their sombrero hats and Mexican looking hats. My uncle and I asked if they were they having some kind of event. The staff said she thought lunch was going to be Mexican, and they were preparing for that.

Private room was light and more cheerful. Good thing I could be resourceful when it came to my basic care and didn’t need to call the staff too often. No Clergy available for prayer, blessings, etc. I can not address activities or amenities due to the current pandemic, I was offered a box to paint once and given a small piece of watermelon on Memorial Day. Residents were not to mingle or gather in groups.
Programs include home-delivered and congregate meals and curb-to-curb transportation services. A few of the nurses are sweet but the CNAs are horrible with extremely bad attitudes. They were so rude to my family and were highly neglectful of my loved one. My cousin was only there less than a week before she had to be rushed to the ER and unfortunately she passed several days later. Administrators work closely with the medical director and nursing staff to ensure proper medical treatment for all residents.
